Apple TV is hitting its stride in July 2026. After the deliberately narrow June program Apple TV is significantly ramping up its programming in July. Five official premieres are on the schedule, in addition to continuing episodes from May and June, and increasingly concrete anticipation for another release: Jessica Chastain's twice-delayed thriller "The Savant" is reportedly finally set to premiere in July. This clearly places the focus on star-studded narrative formats that Apple TV is offering as part of its... Summer Lineups 2026 positioned as a seasonal highlight.

Silo Season 3: Two timelines, one larger narrative space

The third season of "Silo" kicks off on July 3rd. The dystopian sci-fi series, starring Rebecca Ferguson as Juliette Nichols, fundamentally expands its narrative world. Nichols survives her forced "purification" from season 2, but returns with amnesia to a silo that is recovering from uprisings and simultaneously facing a new threat.

In parallel, the season opens a second timeline for the first time, set several centuries before the known events. Jessica Henwick takes on the role of journalist Helen Drew, and Ashley Zukerman plays Congressman Daniel Keene. In this past, both stumble upon a conspiracy whose consequences directly lead to the creation of the silo world. With this, the series departs from its previously claustrophobic premise and opens up narrative space for historical connections.

Trying Season 5: Family Life at a Turning Point

On July 8th, season 5 of "Trying" returns, marking the return of one of Apple TV's most consistent comedy franchises. Esther Smith and Rafe Spall reprise their roles as Nikki and Jason, whose family life enters a new phase with the arrival of their adopted children's biological mother. Anya Taylor-Joy plays a con artist whose multi-million dollar heist goes awry, leaving her hunted by both the FBI and a ruthless crime boss. The series is based on the bestselling novel by Marissa Stapley and was adapted by Jonathan Tropper and Cassie Pappas.

Taylor-Joy is not only the lead actress but also an executive producer. This high level of personnel involvement signals that Apple TV intends to build a potentially long-term brand with "Lucky"—a strategy the platform has already employed with "Sugar," "Slow Horses," and other star-studded shows.

The Dink: Pickleball comedy with celebrity cameos

On July 24th, the feature film "The Dink," which explores the popular sport of pickleball, will be released. Jake Johnson plays former tennis pro Dusty Boyd, who, after an injury, finds himself stranded at his father's country club and is expected to teach the very sport his father, Chuck (Ed Harris), is vendetta against. Mary Steenburgen plays Candace, who unwittingly converts Dusty to pickleball. A special twist: The real Andy Roddick makes a cameo appearance as Dusty's childhood nemesis.

With this film, Apple TV is covering a genre in July that has become rare in the streaming summer of 2026: the self-ironic sports comedy. This complements the month's program, which is otherwise dominated by thrillers and science fiction.

Snoopy Presents: A Dog House on the Move

The fifth official premiere, on July 31, is "Snoopy Presents: There's No Place Like Home, Snoopy." Snoopy's beloved doghouse is accidentally sold at a yard sale, and Charlie Brown embarks with him on a journey to find it. This family production concludes the month's lineup with a title specifically aimed at younger viewers and parents—a formula Apple TV already established in June with "Camp Snoopy.".

Wildcard: The Savant could finally start in July

A premiere that has not yet been officially confirmed, but is highly anticipated, is "The Savant" starring Jessica Chastain. The thriller is about an undercover investigator in extremist online networks. was removed from the calendar at short notice in September 2025.. Chastain himself recently confirmed that the series will be released in summer 2026. According to industry reports, Apple TV is aiming for a July launch, but an official announcement is still pending.

Should the date be confirmed, July would gain an additional heavyweight in the form of a highly political drama series – a contrast in content to sci-fi escapism and pickleball comedy. Currently, the entry remains in wildcard status.

New episodes of current series in July

Alongside the new releases, Apple TV will deliver additional episodes from several ongoing series in July:

Star City will air new episodes until July 10th.
Maximum Pleasure Guaranteed with Tatiana Maslany ends with the final episode on July 15th.
Cape Fear, starring Javier Bardem, Amy Adams and Patrick Wilson, continues until July 31st.
Sugar Season 2 with Colin Farrell continues with new episodes until August 7th.

This means that Apple TV will distribute fresh content throughout the week in July, in every weekday slot.

Apple TV's busiest period of the summer

July marks the peak of Apple TV's summer lineup. Sci-fi with narrative expansion, a star-studded crime series, a heartwarming comedy comeback, a sports film with a cameo twist, and a family special: the thematic range lives up to the ambition that Apple TV has set for itself with the Summer Lineup 2026 as formulated. Should "The Savant" actually be added at short notice, July would even have six premieres – a number that Apple TV traditionally only achieves in the months leading up to Christmas.
