Apfelpatient is an independent German-language publication covering the Apple ecosystem. We report on Apple news, software updates, Apple Intelligence, product announcements, developer releases and accessory reviews – and provide clear, practical guides that keep Apple users informed.
Who We Are
From the very beginning, Apfelpatient has focused on timely, accurate and easy-to-understand coverage of Apple's products, services and technologies. Our content is aimed at anyone looking for reliable information on iPhone, iPad, Mac, Apple Watch, AirPods and Apple Vision Pro, as well as iOS, iPadOS, macOS, watchOS, visionOS, tvOS and the wider Apple ecosystem.
It all started in 2016 with building an Apple community on Facebook. Since 2018, editorial content has been produced in our own magazine – and since then we have followed the development of the Apple ecosystem, from major product launches to the finer details of the annual software updates. With an extensive and continuously growing archive, Apfelpatient is now among the largest German-language Apple publications.

Our Editorial Team
Behind Apfelpatient is Milan Jovicic. He founded the site in 2016 and initially built up its social media presence, above all the Facebook community. The magazine followed in 2018 — since then he has been responsible for all editorial content: news, rumors, guides, and product reviews. Topic selection, assessment, and approval rest with him, as does responsibility for the accuracy of every published text.
He works alone on the editorial side, but not on the technical one: a team behind the site handles infrastructure, development and maintenance. That separation is deliberate – it keeps editorial responsibility in one place while ensuring the site's technical foundation is professionally maintained.
Apple devices here aren't two-week loaners, they're everyday tools: from iPhone to MacBook Pro, MacBook Air and iMac all the way to Apple Vision Pro, at least one device from nearly every product category is in daily use, many of them replaced each year. Every menu path in a guide is verified on the device before publication. The complete archive is available on the author page, and Milan can also be reached on LinkedIn.
Our Mission
Our mission is to make Apple news and technology easier to understand – through trustworthy reporting, practical guides, honest reviews and clear explanations that help readers get more out of their Apple devices. We believe technology journalism should be precise, transparent and accessible to everyone – from everyday Apple users to developers, professionals and enthusiasts.
Our Standards
We test accessories and products over an extended period rather than judging them on first impressions. We only review what has actually been in use here – there are no reviews based on spec sheets.
Review units provided free of charge and paid partnerships are disclosed in the respective article; neither influences the outcome of a review. Our page on Editorial Standards & Transparency explains how we research, verify, update and publish.
Funding and Independence
Apfelpatient is funded through display advertising and affiliate links (including Amazon Associates). If someone buys through such a link, we earn a commission – the price stays the same.
For reviews, manufacturers and vendors sometimes provide products free of charge; individual reviews are also produced as paid partnerships. We disclose these articles transparently in each case. Our verdict remains independent – the assessment reflects our own judgment and is not part of any agreement.
