A bank robbery in Zurich, Owen Wilson back on the golf course, and Snoopy on the naughty list: November brings six new releases to Apple TV, including two movies and the first Christmas special of the season. Three series also end at the beginning of the month.
After a packed October with "Where's Wanda?", "Nocturne," and the finale of "Slow Horses," November continues at a somewhat calmer but more varied pace. Two titles were already included in the overview of Apple TV's fall lineup: the second season of "Stick" and the heist series "12 12 12." They are joined by a cooking show with Awkwafina, a film about the disability rights movement, and two titles for the whole family.
The dates are taken from the announcements in the Apple TV press section. With the exception of the Snoopy special, all new releases already have their own page in the German Apple TV app, some with German titles. Where a title exists, it is included at the bottom.

12 12 12: The coup under Zurich
The biggest new release of the month is "12 12 12" on November 13th. Anthony Mackie plays a disgraced FBI agent, Jamie Dornan an American career criminal; both are also involved as producers. The film centers on a heist at a bank vault deep beneath the streets of Zurich.

Each episode unfolds across three timelines: twelve months of planning, twelve hours of the heist, and twelve days afterward. The eight-episode series begins with a double episode, followed by a new one every Friday, culminating in the finale on December 25th. Kari Skogland directs several episodes, including the first.
Apple had already announced the launch date of November 13th in August, followed by the trailer in October.
Stick: Owen Wilson wants to give it another go
On November 4th, "Stick" returns with its second season. Owen Wilson reprises his role as Pryce Cahill, the former golf pro who this time tries his comeback project on himself: He wants to become the oldest player ever to win a major. New to the cast is Rhea Seehorn as his coach, known from "Better Call Saul" and "Pluribus".
The ten episodes will premiere on Wednesdays with a double episode, followed by a weekly release until December 30th. Apple released the trailer for the second season in early October.
Cooking, cinema and a family film
On November 6th, "Awkwafina: Kitchen Novice" (original title "The Unlikely Cook with Awkwafina") premieres. Nora Lum, aka Awkwafina, comes from a family that ran the restaurant Lum's in New York, but she herself can't cook. In eight episodes, she travels across the USA and learns from chefs and restaurateurs what it takes to master Asian cuisine.
Also on November 13th, "Being Heumann" by "CODA" director Siân Heder will be released. The film tells the story of activist Judy Heumann, played by Ruth Madeley, who in 1977, along with hundreds of people with disabilities, occupied a federal building in San Francisco – the longest occupation of a US federal building. Mark Ruffalo plays the official who stood in their way.

At the end of the month, on November 25th, "Warrior Kid" (original title "Way of the Warrior Kid") will be released. Chris Pratt plays an injured Navy SEAL who teaches his bullied nephew the meaning of true courage over the course of a summer. McG directs, and the film is based on a novel by former Navy SEAL Jocko Willink.

Snoopy opens the Christmas program
The holiday season begins on Apple TV on November 13th. In "Snoopy Presents: 12 Days of Snoopy," Snoopy lands on the naughty list and has twelve days to prove himself. The music includes tracks by John Legend and Laufey. The Apple TV app does not yet list a German title for the special.

Those who want to watch without a subscription can stream "A Charlie Brown Thanksgiving" for free on the weekend of November 14th and 15th. It's the second of three free viewing windows for Peanuts classics; the third, "A Charlie Brown Christmas," will follow in December.
These series are going into their finale
In addition to the new releases, several series from the fall season will continue. Three of them will end in the first week of November.
| Series | Last episode |
|---|---|
| Brothers | November 4th |
| Small Prophets | November 4th |
| On a Knife's Edge: The Hunt for Michelin Stars (Season 2) | November 6 |
| Where is Wanda? (Season 2) | December 9 |
| nocturne | December 25 |
"Where is Wanda?" and the Kepler crime thriller "Nocturne" will continue throughout November.
Why November has a special charm in this country
With "12 12 12," the biggest series of the month is set in Switzerland, in Zurich, and revolves around a vault beneath the city. Together with "Where is Wanda?", which runs until December, there are two Apple TV+ series in November with direct ties to the German-speaking world.
I think November is a month that's particularly compelling because of its mix of programming. Those who subscribed in October get two series, "12 12 12" and "Stick," which will keep them entertained until Christmas, and family-friendly shows like Snoopy and "Warrior Kid".
