Ted Lasso Season 4: Production officially started

The third season concluded with Ted's return to the US. Now it's official: Season 4 is in the works. The first image has just been released.

Production officially started

On July 21, 2025, Apple CEO Tim Cook posted the first image of the fourth season of Ted Lasso on X (formerly Twitter). This included the information that filming had officially begun. The image shows familiar characters from the previous cast. Whether the scene depicted represents the actual beginning of the season is unclear. It's common practice in series production to film out of chronological order. All that is clear is that some key characters are returning.

Season 4 begins in the US, but is likely to be set in London again

The end of season 3 showed Ted returning to the USA. The new season will likely pick up there. Filming is currently also taking place in the USA. Nevertheless, London is expected to be a central setting again. Most of the previous action surrounding AFC Richmond took place there.
