The fourth season of "The Morning Show" premieres on Apple TV+ on September 17, 2025. The award-winning drama series starring Jennifer Aniston and Reese Witherspoon will premiere with new episodes, major new cast members, and an expanded storyline. The first episode will be released at the worldwide launch, followed by a new episode weekly until the season finale on November 19, 2025.

The plot of the fourth season
The fourth season begins in spring 2024, approximately two years after the events of the third season. Following the merger of the two media companies UBA and NBN, the news team faces new challenges. Topics such as shifts in power, hidden interests, and uncertainty about what can even be considered truth take center stage. In a climate of fabrications, conspiracy theories, and corporate influence, everyday life in the studio is increasingly characterized by mistrust.
Return of the familiar characters
Jennifer Aniston and Reese Witherspoon return as Alex Levy and Bradley Jackson, respectively. Both continue to serve as executive producers on the series. Billy Crudup also returns in the role of Cory Ellison—his performance won an Emmy and a Critics Choice Award in the third season. Other returning cast members include Mark Duplass, Nestor Carbonell, Karen Pittman, Greta Lee, Nicole Beharie, and Jon Hamm.
New faces in the ensemble
The fourth season features several new additions. Among them are Oscar winner Marion Cotillard and Oscar winner Jeremy Irons. Also new are Aaron Pierre, William Jackson Harper, and Boyd Holbrook. These new roles are intended to bring fresh perspectives to the story and further expand the plot.

The series is directed and executive produced by Charlotte Stoudt. Mimi Leder continues to direct and executive produce. "The Morning Show" is produced by Media Res. Michael Ellenberg and Lindsey Springer are on the production team, along with Zander Lehmann and Micah Schraft. Reese Witherspoon is a producer with Lauren Neustadter for Hello Sunshine, and Jennifer Aniston is producing with Kristin Hahn for Echo Films.
Previous awards
"The Morning Show" was already an award-winning first season. Billy Crudup won the Emmy Award and the Critics Choice Award for his role. Jennifer Aniston received a SAG Award for her portrayal of Alex Levy. In season 2, the series received further Emmy nominations, including for Reese Witherspoon as Best Actress, Crudup as Best Supporting Actor, and Marcia Gay Harden as Best Guest Actress. Mimi Leder also received multiple nominations for her directing work, including for the season finales of the first and third seasons. The third season was named one of the American Film Institute's Top 10 in 2023.
