Gemini 3 appears to be Google's most intelligent AI model to date. The new generation is designed to think more precisely, grasp nuances better, and understand the context behind queries more reliably. According to Google, the Gemini 3 Pro version outperforms the previous model, Gemini 2.5 Pro, in all key AI benchmarks. It also features a redesigned interface in Google Search, the Gemini app, and new developer platforms. An even more powerful variant, Gemini 3 Deep Think, is also on the horizon.

Artificial intelligence is evolving from simple chat and response systems into tools that understand and analyze content and execute complex tasks in multiple steps. Google's Gemini 3 focuses on multimodal understanding. The model processes text, images, videos, and documents together and attempts to draw more logical conclusions. The goal is to create a system that functions like a thinking partner and doesn't just reproduce content.

Gemini 3 Pro: Stronger thinking and more precise understanding

Google describes Gemini 3 Pro as the most advanced AI model in its portfolio. It uses modern reasoning techniques, recognizes linguistic nuances, and understands intentions more clearly. Answers are shorter and more direct because unnecessary embellishment has been reduced.

Gemini 3 Pro is considered the best model currently available for multimodal comprehension. The combination of text, images, video, and other content is not analyzed separately, but rather in context. This allows for more structured answers to complex questions. According to Google, Gemini 3 Pro outperforms its predecessor, Gemini 2.5 Pro, in all relevant tests.

Integration into Google Search

Gemini 3 Pro is available in Google Search's AI mode for Pro and Ultra subscribers. The search engine uses this model to create generative user interfaces. These include immersive visual layouts, interactive tools, and dynamic content that adapts spontaneously to the search query. Instead of traditional results lists, an interface is created that structures, visualizes, and expands information in a tool-specific way.

The redesigned Gemini app

With the launch of Gemini 3, Google has completely redesigned the Gemini app. It features a more modern design and a clearer structure. Chats are easier to start, and a dedicated section called My Stuff brings together pictures, videos, and reports created using Gemini. The Thinking Mode can be activated in the model selection screen to use Gemini 3 Pro directly.

The shopping experience has also been redesigned. Product lists, comparison tables, and prices from Google's Shopping Graph now appear more clearly. This should make the app more structured for both research and purchasing purposes.

Developer platforms: AI Studio, Vertex AI and Antigravity

Gemini 3 Pro is also integrated into AI Studio and Vertex AI. Here, the model serves as the foundation for applications, workflows, and AI agents. A key component is Google Antigravity. This new platform enables the development of agent-based applications that collect and analyze data and use it in automated processes. Gemini 3 acts as the thinking engine within these agents.

Gemini Agent with Gemini 3

Ultra subscribers can use Gemini 3 with Gemini Agent. This combination executes multi-stage workflows from start to finish. The system plans tasks, makes decisions, and structures processes without requiring manual intervention at each step. This transforms Gemini 3 from a purely reactive model into a function that actively works and controls workflows.

Gemini 3 Deep Think: The mode for more complex problems

Alongside the Pro version, Gemini 3 Deep Think is being released. According to Google, this mode is even more intelligent and designed to better solve particularly difficult or complex problems. Deep Think is aimed at scenarios requiring long lines of reasoning, structured analysis, or precise planning. It is scheduled for release to Google AI Ultra subscribers in the coming weeks.

New interface concepts

With Gemini 3, Google introduces two interface concepts. The visual layout uses photos and modules to structure content more clearly. The dynamic view uses agent-based coding to build an interface that adapts to the specific request in real time. This creates a more flexible user experience that not only displays information but also translates it into a functional structure.

Gemini 3 as the new core of the Google AI ecosystem

Gemini 3 marks a significant evolution within the Google AI family. The model thinks more precisely, understands relationships better, and processes different media types together. Through its broad integration into search, apps, and developer platforms, Gemini 3 becomes a central building block of the entire Google ecosystem. The new interface approaches, the focus on multimodal understanding, and the upcoming Deep Think mode demonstrate how Google is evolving AI from a response system to an active, thinking assistant.
