With the launch of iOS 17, Apple is launching an exciting new feature called iPhone Live Voicemail. This innovative way to help you deal with the annoying problem of spam calls and better manage calls from people you know. In this article, you will learn how to use this useful feature and turn it on or off as needed.

iOS 17 introduces the groundbreaking Live Voicemail feature for iPhones, which allows users to transcribe voice messages in real time and answer calls directly while the caller is leaving their message. In addition, calls identified as spam are immediately rejected, which offers an additional layer of security. Transcription takes place directly on the device and therefore remains completely private.

How to Use iPhone Live Voicemail

Since not all spam calls are blocked by carriers, some of them may end up in iPhone's Live Voicemail. Don't worry, because there is a built-in blocking feature to efficiently intercept such calls. By default, iPhone Live Voicemail is enabled in iOS 17. However, if you want to disable this feature, you can easily do so by going to Settings > Phone > Live Voicemail and turning it off there. Once you receive a call and answer it or forward it to voicemail, you will see the phone and recording icon in the Dynamic Island or at the top of your iPhone. Tap the phone icon to go to the live voicemail recording. There, you will have various options: you can block the caller, answer the call, or leave them a voicemail. If you want to leave Live Voicemail, just swipe up from the bottom.

iOS 17 Spam Calls Conclusion

With iOS 17 and the introduction of iPhone Live Voicemail, Apple presents an innovative solution to reduce spam calls and improve the handling of calls from known contacts. The ability to transcribe voice messages in real time and answer calls directly offers a convenient and efficient way to manage calls. The intuitive blocking function also ensures that unwanted calls no longer disturb you. iOS 17 and the Live Voicemail function are definitely a step in the right direction to make smartphone use even more pleasant. Try it yourself and experience a new era of call management on your iPhone. Are you looking for new accessories?
