Apple Event October 2024: All about M4 Macs and iPads

According to Mark Gurman of Bloomberg plant the company plans to present the next generation of Macs and iPads. The focus is on the M4 chip series. In his weekly Power On newsletter, Gurman shares his assessments and information about the planned event. The new M4 Macs

Apple is expected to introduce the M4 series of chips in several Mac models. Gurman speculates that the MacBook Pro, iMac and Mac mini could be the first devices to be equipped with the new chips.

MacBook Pro: The MacBook Pro will probably be released in 14 and 16 inch sizes with the M4, M4 Pro and M4 Max chips. In terms of design, nothing should change compared to the previous models. Improvements such as an OLED display are only planned for later models.
iMac: The iMac could also get an upgrade to the M4 chip. It remains exciting to see whether Apple will switch popular accessories such as the Magic Keyboard and Magic Mouse from Lightning to USB-C.
Mac mini: The Mac mini may also be getting a makeover. It could not only get the new M4 and M4 Pro chips but also a more compact design. Traditional USB-A ports could be eliminated, however.

Updates for the iPad mini and the entry-level iPad

iPad mini (7th generation): The iPad mini could get a faster chip, better cameras and a solution for the well-known "jelly scrolling". It is also rumored that it will support WiFi 6E and Bluetooth 5.3.
