Only four days until pre-orders open, but you can already make your selection today. Apple is opening pre-orders for the iPhone Duo in the online store and the Apple Store app. If you specify your color, storage capacity, and payment method now, all you have to do is submit your order on Friday.
The final stage before the iPhone Duo goes on sale begins today. Apple announced at the end of September that pre-orders would be available starting October 12th. As of today, the pre-order function is activated on the German iPhone Duo sales page.
The actual pre-order period starts on Friday, October 16th, at 2 PM. Delivery will begin on October 23rd; the device will also be available in Apple Stores on that day.

This is how the preparation works
Apple calls this pre-order process "Get Ready." In the online store or the Apple Store app, you select the color and storage capacity and enter your payment method. Then, on Friday at 2 PM, simply submit the prepared order.

Two colors are available: Starry White and Night Sky, as well as four storage levels. A power adapter is not included; the box contains only the device and a USB-C charging cable. The iPhone Duo works exclusively with eSIM; there is no slot for a nano-SIM card.
How much the iPhone Duo costs in Germany, Austria and Switzerland
The prices are already listed in all three stores. In Austria, the price is €20 higher than in Germany for each storage tier.

Why preparation is worthwhile this time
I wouldn't skip the preparation for the iPhone Duo. Several reports indicate that Apple's first foldable iPhone will have limited availability at launch. Anyone who only starts looking for color and storage options at 2 PM on Friday will waste minutes in which their delivery date could already be pushed back.
If you're still undecided, comparing it to the iPhone 18 Pro before ordering can help. This preparation is non-binding until the order is submitted.
What configuration have you already prepared – or is the iPhone Duo too expensive for you in every storage capacity? Tell us in the comments if you'll be ordering on Friday at 2 PM.
