Ahead of the third season premiere, Apple TV is putting its sci-fi hit "Silo" in the spotlight. The cast, including Rebecca Ferguson, gathered in Los Angeles for an official photo call. The new season launches worldwide on July 3rd – and takes the series in a completely new narrative direction.

Apple TV held a photo call in Los Angeles on Monday, June 15, for the upcoming third season of "Silo." The dystopian series is one of the streaming service's most successful original productions, and the cast's appearance sets the stage for the approaching premiere. Photo call in Los Angeles

At the Date In Los Angeles, lead actress and executive producer Rebecca Ferguson appeared alongside series creator Graham Yost and actors Common, Ashley Zukerman, Jessica Henwick, and Alexandria Riley. Yost, an Emmy Award winner and also the showrunner and executive producer of the series, is also part of the inner circle behind "Silo.".

Starting on July 3rd and weekly episodes

The third season comprises ten episodes. The first episode premieres on July 3rd, with a new episode released every Friday until September 4th. The series will launch globally, making it available worldwide simultaneously and running throughout the summer.

Two timelines and one origin story

The source material remains Hugh Howey's bestselling trilogy of the same name, which centers on a dystopian society of 10,000 people living deep underground under mysterious circumstances. The biggest narrative move of the third season is an origin story set centuries before the events of the previous season.

In the present, Juliette Nichols, played by Rebecca Ferguson, survives her forced "purification" but returns with amnesia, while the silo recovers from the rebellion and faces a dangerous new threat. In the past timeline, journalist Helen Drew (Jessica Henwick) and Congressman Daniel Keene (Ashley Zukerman) uncover a conspiracy that draws them into a chain of events with catastrophic and irreversible consequences.

Returning faces and new faces

Alongside Ferguson, a large ensemble cast returns, including Common, Harriet Walter, Chinaza Uche, Avi Nash, Alexandria Riley, Shane McRae, Remmie Milner, Rick Gomez, Billy Postlethwaite, and Clare Perkins. New additions to the cast include Zukerman and Henwick, who appeared in the season two finale, as well as Laura Innes, Jessica Brown Findlay, Morven Christie, Reed Birney, and Matt Craven. Colin Hanks has a recurring role, and Steve Zahn also returns.
