The brand new AirPods Pro have been developed in a completely new in-ear design. This enables a long-awaited feature - noise cancellation. An important component is the silicone ear tips. But how do you replace them if they are damaged or even lost? We'll explain it to you.

What can you say about the AirPods Pro? One word: remarkable. The new ANC feature enables more transparent or optionally active noise cancellation. The former is of course suitable when the user is on the move, as they can hear their surroundings despite the music playing. You can find out how the function is controlled here. The feature has been requested for a long time, but Apple had to change the entire design. Like all in-ear plugs, the AirPods Pro also have small silicone inserts. Buyers of the new plugs know that they come in three sizes - S, M and L. This ensures that Apple ensures that the AirPods Pro really fit in everyone's ear. But what if you lose them or they break? Can you simply reorder these ear tips from the Apple Store? Yes and no. They are not listed under accessories. Those affected have to go through Apple Support.

How to order new ear tips

Apple operates its own support website, where every single product is listed. If the earpieces are missing, the user must go to “getsupport.apple.com“ open the “AirPods” section. Then select the “Missing or lost AirPods” category. Now navigate to “Replace AirPods Pro earpieces” and select a contact type. Users can choose from a chat, telephone support, or make an appointment directly at the local store. Alternatively, you can also use the Apple Support app.

The replacement of these ear tips costs around 3.50 euros per pair. For online orders, the shipping fee is added. By the way: If you want to exchange them at your local Apple Store, you must present a valid photo ID. You don't have AirPods yet? Apple devices here are not test units on loan for two weeks but everyday tools: from the iPhone through MacBook Pro, MacBook Air, and iMac to the Apple Vision Pro, at least one device from nearly every product category is in daily use, many of them replaced annually. Every menu path in a guide is verified on the device before it is published.
