Tomorrow evening, Apple is expected to unveil the very first Apple Silicon Mac during the "One more thing" keynote. The transition from Intel could lead to cheaper Mac devices.

Analysts at JP Morgan Bank have commented on Apple Silicon Macs and made an interesting prediction. According to them, the production of ARM-based products could drive innovation, reduce material costs and possibly lead to a more diverse range of Mac devices. Analyst Samik Chatterjee explained that the most important announcement at Apple's Event on November 10th, at least one new Mac model will be equipped with the proprietary Apple Silicon chip. This device will officially begin the two-year transition to first-party chipsets in macOS devices - according to the analyst.

Apple Event: In addition to Mac devices, AirTags are also expected

By moving to in-house chips, Apple aims to regain control over the pace of the technology roadmap on processor chips and create a common architecture across all Apple products, making it easier for developers to write and optimize applications for the product ecosystem.

Apple's plan could also be worthwhile for consumers in terms of price. Chatterjee writes that the use of Apple Silicon chips could lead to lower prices. This means that Mac devices could appeal to a broader market in terms of price. In addition to new Mac models, JP Morgan also predicted the launch of AirTags. This means that Apple could actually launch the small trackers tomorrow evening. Whether the investment bank will ultimately be right remains to be seen. But we should know by tomorrow at the latest.
