Since the launch of the iPhone 15 with a USB-C port instead of the familiar Lightning port, there has been a notable innovation that has excited many users. Below, we will take a closer look at how the iPhone 15's USB-C port can be used to charge the Apple Watch and AirPods. This feature opens up a whole new range of practical possibilities for using your Apple devices.

The Apple world is known for its seamless integration of devices and the constant development of its technologies to make life easier for users. With the iPhone 15, they have once again taken a step in this direction by introducing the USB-C port.

The advantages of the iPhone 15 USB-C port

With the iPhone 15's USB-C port, you can now charge your Apple Watch and AirPods directly, which was previously not possible with the Lightning port. This means you no longer need different charging cables, but can instead use the same USB-C cable for all your Apple devices. To use this feature, however, you will need the right accessories, such as a USB-C to USB-C cable for the new AirPods Pro 2 USB-C Charging Case or a USB-C charging puck for the Apple Watch. Once you have the appropriate cable, you can conveniently charge your AirPods and Apple Watch via the iPhone 15. Apple highlighted this innovative feature when introducing the iPhone 15 Pro.

Pro models support faster transfer speeds

While it was already possible to use USB-C Macs to charge AirPods and Apple Watch, it's new and convenient that your iPhone can now do the job too. So if you find yourself in a situation without access to a charger and your AirPods or Apple Watch urgently need charging, the iPhone 15 can be the savior. That means you don't have to carry around an extra power bank. In addition, USB-C offers other advantages. Not only does it allow you to charge different devices with the same cable, but it also offers faster USB 3 transfer speeds of up to 10 Gbps when the right cable is used - only on the iPhone 15 Pro models.
