Apple TV achieved unprecedented results at the 31st Critics' Choice Awards. Three series and one film from the streaming service were honored, garnering a total of seven awards. This makes Apple TV one of the most successful platforms at this year's ceremony and confirms its growing influence in the television and film industries.

The year 2025 was exceptional for Apple TV in many ways. Subscriber numbers reached a new all-time high, while series and films were highly sought after by both critics and audiences. In previous award ceremonies, Apple TV had typically only achieved sporadic success, often with a single series or film. This year's Critics' Choice Awards, therefore, mark a clear turning point.

These awards are considered an important indicator of quality, as they are given by film and television critics. Consequently, they are highly significant for assessing a streaming service's standing in international comparison.

Seven Critics' Choice Awards

At the 31st Critics' Choice Awards, presented last weekend, Apple TV won a total of seven awards, marking the streaming service's best result ever at the event. Three series and one film were honored, winning in multiple major categories.

The winners in detail

The Studio

The comedy series was the biggest winner of the evening, receiving three awards:

  • Best Comedy Series
  • Best actor in a comedy series: Seth Rogen
  • Best Supporting Actor in a Comedy Series: Ike Barinholtz

Pluribus

The drama series was particularly impressive due to its acting performance:

  • Best Actress in a Drama Series: Rhea Seehorn

Severance

This series also added another award to its already successful story:

  • Best Supporting Actor in a Drama Series: Tramell Tillman

F1

The film showed its strength primarily in the technical area:

  • Best Editing: Stephen Mirrione
  • Best Sound: Al Nelson, Gwendolyn Yates Whittle, Gary A. Rizzo, Juan Peralta, Gareth John

All award-winning productions can be streamed on Apple TV with an active subscription.

Classifying success

The seven awards represent a new record for Apple. At the same time, they continue the positive trend that began with the recent Emmy Awards. Apple TV is increasingly being perceived as a platform that produces not only popular but also award-winning content.

In parallel, the 2026 programming year is already starting. This week sees the first premieres, which will appear on Apple TV in January and further expand the offering.

Apple TV is positioning itself as a quality provider in the streaming market

With its success at the Critics' Choice Awards, Apple TV underscores its ambition to be among the leading streaming services in the long term. For €9.99 per month, the service offers a constantly growing selection of series and films, including well-known titles such as Ted Lasso, Severance, and Pluribus. Alternatively, Apple TV is also included in the Apple One bundle. The current pricing clearly demonstrates that Apple TV is not only focusing on reach but increasingly on quality, which is also recognized by critics. (Image: Apple)
