The first two episodes will premiere worldwide on Apple TV on Wednesday, July 15. A new episode will then be released every Wednesday until the series concludes on August 19. "Lucky" comprises a total of seven episodes and is designed as a self-contained miniseries – a format Apple has repeatedly used in recent years for high-profile, standalone productions.

The weekly release schedule stretches the series over a good five weeks, meaning the finale won't air until mid-August. Apple TV is available in Germany for €9.99 per month and is included in the Apple One bundle subscription starting at €19.95.

What the series is about

The story centers on a con artist named Lucky, who goes on the run after a multi-million dollar heist. The robbery goes wrong, and she finds herself pursued by two sides: the FBI on one side and a ruthless crime boss on the other. Lucky fights not only for her survival but also for a way out of her predicament. The trailer shows her in constant motion for much of the film – changing disguises and fleeing through a web of pursuers.

One of the main antagonists is FBI agent Billie Rand, who relentlessly pursues Lucky. The dynamic between hunted and investigator forms the dramatic core of the series.

The cast around Anya Taylor-Joy

Taylor-Joy plays the title role and also serves as an executive producer. She is joined by a large ensemble cast: Annette Bening, Timothy Olyphant, Aunjanue Ellis-Taylor – who plays FBI agent Billie Rand – Drew Starkey, Clifton Collins Jr., and William Fichtner.
