Since its launch in 2019, Apple TV+ has quickly become a major player in the international streaming market. With a lineup ranging from award-winning series like "Ted Lasso" to award-winning films like "CODA" and innovative documentaries, the service has won numerous awards. Now, Apple TV+ is sending a clear message: The platform will remain the exclusive home for Snoopy, Charlie Brown, and the Peanuts until 2030. This not only extends but also intensifies the collaboration with WildBrain, Peanuts Worldwide, and Lee Mendelson Film Productions.

In 2025, Peanuts will celebrate its 75th anniversary – an occasion that Apple TV+ is making a big deal about. The expanded partnership includes the entire classic Peanuts library, as well as new original series, specials, and even an animated movie. The plan is to offer a mix of tradition and innovation that will appeal to both long-time fans and new viewers. There will even be free streaming windows for the holidays, so favorite classics like "A Charlie Brown Christmas" can be enjoyed without a subscription.

Exclusivity until 2030

Apple TV+ has been the streaming home of Peanuts since 2020, following the launch of its first original programs in 2018. With the new deal, Apple secures exclusive rights until at least 2030. This includes the classic library of timeless specials as well as new productions created in collaboration with WildBrain and Peanuts Worldwide. A new animated film is currently in development, taking Snoopy, Charlie Brown, and their friends on a big-city adventure.

Anniversary and free specials

For the 75th anniversary, the archives are open to everyone:

  • “It's the Great Pumpkin, Charlie Brown” – free on October 18 and 19, 2025
  • “A Charlie Brown Thanksgiving” – free on November 15 and 16, 2025
  • “A Charlie Brown Christmas” – free on December 13 and 14, 2025

These classics are available to subscribers year-round. They are complemented by anthology titles such as "It's the Easter Beagle, Charlie Brown" and "Be My Valentine, Charlie Brown."

Original series and specials on Apple TV+

Apple TV+ has been investing in new content featuring the Peanuts gang for years. Among the most successful productions are:

  • “The Snoopy Show” – three seasons with new adventures
  • “Snoopy in Space” – Emmy and Annie Award-nominated short film series
  • “Camp Snoopy” – Adventures at the holiday camp
  • “Snoopy Presents: Welcome Home, Franklin” – nominated for Emmy, Annie, Humanitas and NAACP Image Award
  • “Snoopy Presents: It’s the Small Things, Charlie Brown” – Emmy and PGA nominee
  • “Lucy's School” – Emmy-nominated
  • “One-of-a-Kind Marcie” – Emmy-nominated, Annie Award-winning
  • “For Auld Lang Syne” – Annie-nominated
  • “A Summer Musical” – re-released in 2025
  • “To Mom (and Dad), with love” – Humanitas and Emmy nominated

The catalog also includes two award-winning documentaries: “Who Are You, Charlie Brown?” and “Peanuts in Space: Secrets of Apollo 10.”

Apple experience beyond streaming

The Peanuts characters aren't just present on Apple TV+. With a Snoopy watch face for the Apple Watch and animated screensavers for Apple TV, Apple is bringing the iconic characters directly to users' devices. Dynamic scenes, seasonal designs, and little Easter eggs bring Snoopy and Woodstock to life in everyday life.

Apple TV+ as a platform

In addition to Peanuts, Apple TV+ offers a wide range of programming, including drama series like "The Morning Show," comedy hits like "Ted Lasso," and the award-winning series "The Studio." Films like "CODA" even won Apple an Oscar for Best Picture—a first for a streaming service. To date, Apple Originals have received 625 awards and 2,817 nominations. Apple TV+ is available in over 100 countries worldwide and can be used on more than a billion devices—from iPhones and smart TVs to game consoles. The subscription costs €9.99 per month; new customers can take advantage of a seven-day trial period. Apple TV+ is free for three months with the purchase of select Apple devices.

With its exclusive Peanuts partnership through 2030, Apple TV+ is cementing its reputation as a streaming home for high-quality content. Snoopy, Charlie Brown, and their friends take center stage – with classics, new specials, series, and even a movie. At the same time, the platform remains broadly positioned, offering a diverse program ranging from award-winning dramas to family entertainment. With its combination of exclusivity, originality, and global availability, Apple TV+ maintains its position as one of the most innovative streaming services today.
