Apple launched a new beta phase about a week ago, namely iOS 13.4. The new update contains a few interesting features, including the long-awaited iCloud folder sharing. But when will the final version of iOS 13.4 be released for all users?

In iOS 13.4, numerous bugs have been fixed and performance-enhancing adjustments have been made. But there are also interesting new features. Fans of the Memoji stickers get a range of new motifs, including “face with heart eyes”, “face in love”, “party face” and more. The Mail app, CarPlay, location services and other areas have also been updated. But the absolute highlight - for most users - is the iCloud folder sharing feature. This means that entire folders in the iCloud can be shared with other users under iOS 13.4. The feature was originally announced for iOS 13, but Apple had to remove the function during the first beta phase in summer 2019. Another new feature is the “universal purchases” option.

Apple confirms March

This feature affects all operating systems. It will be possible in the future to bundle apps in the iOS, iPadOS, tvOS and macOS App Store. This means that developers can sell the applications as a package. According to Apple, the feature will be available from March – however, a specific date has not been given. Notice:

Starting in March 2020, you can distribute the iOS, iPadOS, macOS, and tvOS versions of your app as a universal purchase, allowing customers to enjoy your app and in-app purchases across platforms by purchasing once.

Since "universal purchases“ require at least iOS 13.4, iPadOS 13.4, watchOS 6.2, tvOS 13.4 and macOS Catalina 10.15.4, so a March launch is certain. A specific date cannot be determined yet, but further hints or leaks cannot be ruled out – at least it would not be the first time. Since observers continue to expect a March event, Apple could roll out the new operating systems at this time. In addition to a inexpensive iPhone will also AirTags and a new iPad Pro generation are expected. An Apple TV could also follow. You can find further information below.
