The cancellation was all the more of a shock. Anyone looking for a Qi charging mat for iPhone, Apple Watch and AirPods - ideally to be able to charge all three devices at the same time - can be happy - there are very good alternatives. In the last two years, many different devices for wireless charging have hit the market - they all have one thing in common. None of these Qi charging mats have what AirPower promised - so far no one has managed to implement so many functions in one device - not even Apple.

The second option would be the manufacturer's Apple Watch Edition. This can charge up to three devices wirelessly at the same time. As the name suggests, this model has a separate area for the Apple Watch. Unlike the first model, this version of the Qi charging mat has no USB ports. Charging the iPhone, Apple Watch and, for example, the AirPods would still be possible thanks to three coils. The version costs 139 US dollars.

The accessory manufacturer Belkin should not be overlooked either. They also have a larger selection of devices that enable wireless charging. The best option here would be the Belkin Boost Up Edition. This can wirelessly charge an iPhone and the Apple Watch at the same time - a USB port allows a third device to be charged. The charging station is available in black and white for 141.49 euros from Amazon. However, this device is also available as a special edition from Apple for 159 euros.
