The China Times has a new report that Apple plans to unveil a 23-inch iMac model along with an 11-inch iPad Air. Both products are expected to be released this year. However, no exact specifications or details about the features were given. According to the source, mass production could start in the third quarter of 2020. Regarding the 23-inch iMac, the news site stated that the model could be unveiled in the fourth quarter of 2020.
Delays in the transition to MiniLED
It is believed that the device will have the same dimensions as the 21.5-inch model, as the edges could be narrower. This would mean a similar transformation to the MacBook Pro 16-inch. A design update of the iMac is long overdue and would certainly be well received. In addition, the China Times discussed Apple's MiniLED plans. Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the development of the MiniLED devices was interrupted. According to this, there will be delays. This statement is in line with an Economic Daily News report, according to which the iPad Pro with MiniLED technology might not appear until spring 2021.
