Apple updated the iPad Pro series in March and introduced a camera with a LiDAR scanner for the first time. But it won't stop there - the iPad Pro with 5G support and more is still pending.

According to rumors, Apple has released two iPad Pro Updates planned. The first took place in March, with the only new feature being the camera module. The second update is planned for autumn. The device will reportedly support 5G and feature the new MiniLED technology as well as the brand new A14 chip with 5nm architecture. However, due to the COVID-19 pandemic, there could now be delays. The Economic Daily Newsthat Apple has fallen behind in the development of various products and is now prioritizing the iPhone 12 over all other devices in the pipeline. This means that the company could announce the new iPad Pro much later than expected. A launch in spring 2021 is also conceivable.

More products with MiniLEDs to follow

The upcoming iPad Pro is said to be the first Apple product to feature a MiniLED panel. This display technology is said to deliver better brightness and significantly better contrast overall. Deeper blacks are also guaranteed. This also solves the burn-in problem of OLEDs. In addition, MiniLEDs are more efficient and would enable thinner and lighter product designs. According to analyst Ming-Chi Kuo, it will not stop with the iPad Pro. He believes that Apple will introduce more products with this screen technology by the end of 2021. However, it remains to be seen to what extent the whole thing will be delayed due to the current COVID-19 pandemic. (Photo by 4itolino / Bigstockphoto)
