A leaker not only wants to know details about Apple Glass, but also wants to have seen them. Cupertino is working on an Apple Glass Steve Jobs Heritage Edition - according to the leaker. But there is someone who disagrees.
The well-known newcomer among the leakers, Jon Prosser, claims to have seen the Apple Glass. While the existence of the upcoming augmented reality glasses is not disputed, some doubt his statements. The story about Apple's AR glasses is already several years old. Initially, there were reports about AR glasses and later about a whole VR headset. A few months ago, however, the whole thing became clearer. Apple is said to be working on both AR glasses and a VR headset. The final proof, at least for one of the two products, was discovered last year in the Golden Master version of iOS 13. Now Prosser has spoken in a podcast with Cult of Macs about Apple Glass. According to him, Apple is working on a limited version of the glasses called "Steve Jobs Heritage". This is equivalent to the first 24K gold version of the Apple Watch. According to his source, Apple Glass will be available in different versions, just like the Apple Watch.

However, he does not know what material the "Steve Jobs Heritage" version will be made of. The price is also unclear. Prosser has already claimed to have seen a prototype. According to him, the Apple Glass will look similar to classic Ray Ban Wayfarers. It is "damn sleek," he explained in the podcast. Both lenses will have a display that does not require a projector component. According to Prosser, Apple Glass will experience a similar development to the Apple Watch. The new product starts at $499 - if you need prescription lenses, you will pay more. But is this price really realistic for such an advanced product? Especially by Apple standards? To be honest, I can't really imagine it. But there is someone who completely contradicts Prosser and believes his "revelations" about Apple Glass to be fiction - Mark Gurman. The Bloomberg journalist is known for having good sources in Cupertino. Now he has made the following statement on Twitter in two posts:

In my opinion, there is a confusion here: There are two devices: An Apple mixed AR and VR headset (N301), which is scheduled to be announced in 2021 (delayed from 2020) and released in 2022. There are also the pure AR glasses (N421), which are not scheduled to hit the market until late 2022 or 2023.
Gurman is sticking to his previous statements that there are two models. Even then he said that the headset would be released before the actual AR glasses. Prosser, on the other hand, is sticking to his statements. It is currently difficult to say who will actually be right in the end. Gurman has an excellent track record when it comes to Apple, which is why his statements are definitely being followed closely.
