Apple is planning to unveil a brand-new product—Apple Glass. Rumors have been circulating about it for several years, but only recently were the augmented reality glasses "unveiled."
A few days ago, the well-known leaker and Youtuber Jon Prosser, revealed the first concrete details about Apple's upcoming glasses. So far, there have been reports about the development. However, there have been hardly any details about how it works, the price, the presentation and the market launch. Now the Taiwanese news site DigiTimes in a new report on Apple Glass. According to this, the AR glasses are expected to be released in 2021, with production going into the first half of the year - but initially in reduced quantities. This statement is consistent with Prosser's report that the glasses could go on sale in late 2021 or early 2022.

The unveiling of Apple Glass could take place as early as this fall. According to Prosser, Apple plans to introduce the glasses as “One More Thing” at the annual iPhone event. However, due to the COVID-19 crisis, the event, like the WWDC 2020 held digitally. In such a case, the presentation of Apple Glass would not take place until spring 2021. In terms of price, Prosser stated $499. Users who need prescription glasses will have to pay an additional charge. The Youtuber also stated that Apple Glass will be completely dependent on the computing power of the iPhone.
