The Klatt family has their daughter back – but still faces another problem. Apple TV has released the trailer for the second season of "Where's Wanda?", just under a month before its premiere. This time, Wanda is found lying on top of a dead body.
Apple launched its first German-language series, "Wo ist Wanda?" (Where's Wanda?), in October 2024. The dark comedy from UFA Fiction ran for eight episodes and is now returning with eight more. Apple released the trailer for the second season on September 23rd; internationally, the series is titled "Where's Wanda?".
The release date of October 21st had already been set in July. This season is therefore one of the fall premieres on Apple TV.

Wanda is back, and so are the problems
In the first season, Carlotta and Dedo Klatt searched for their missing daughter by bugging half the neighborhood with the help of their son Ole. The second season picks up where that left off: The family's life seems to be returning to normal when Wanda is apparently caught red-handed next to a dead body.
To prove their innocence, the Klatts once again investigate on their own. According to Apple, their search for the real culprit leads them into the criminal underworld of their quiet suburb.
The cast of the second season
The main roles remain unchanged: Heike Makatsch and Axel Stein play the Klatt couple, Lea Drinda their daughter Wanda, and Leo Simon their son Ole. Nikeata Thompson also returns.
The rest of the cast is large and includes Sam Riley, Alexandra Maria Lara, Suzanne von Borsody, Devid Striesow, Kostja Ullmann, Palina Rojinski, Gisa Flake, David Schütter, Sascha Geršak, and Torben Liebrecht. Harriet Herbig-Matten and Frederic Balonier, both from the Prime Video series "Maxton Hall," also appear in the film.
Oliver Lansley is the creator and writer, as he was with the first season, while Tobi Baumann and Christian Ditter are the directors.
The broadcast schedule until December
Unlike the first season, Apple is starting with only one episode this time. In 2024, there were two episodes for the premiere, and the season then ran until November 13th. The second season will therefore run until just before Christmas.

Why the series is more than a sequel for Apple
The fact that Apple's first German-language series is getting a second season, especially with such a large cast, suggests to us that Apple doesn't intend to serve the German-speaking market solely with dubbed US series. According to Apple, the first season achieved a 100% critic score on Rotten Tomatoes.
For viewers in German-speaking countries, this series is a rare case: the original version is the German one; there is no dubbing. Anyone who hasn't yet seen the first season has until October 21st to catch up on the eight episodes. The subscription can also be shared with up to five other people via Family Sharing.
