Apple has added additional public transport information in various European countries, including Germany, to its own map service Apple Maps.

Apple continues to work tirelessly to improve Maps. end of January The major design update of Apple Maps was officially completed in the USA. The next update is now being rolled out in European countries such as France, Spain and Germany. Users will now have access to details about public transport. However, the information has not yet been made available nationwide. It is currently not possible to predict when the full update of the database will be completed.

Eddy Cue highlights data protection

At the end of January, Apple issued a press release about the new design of Maps. In the press release, Eddy Cue, Apple's Senior Vice President of Internet Software and Services, said:

We set out to build the best, most private maps app on the planet that reflects how people explore the world today. We've worked hard and are rebuilding Maps from the ground up to reimagine how Maps enriches people's lives - from navigating to work or school or planning an important vacation - all with privacy at its core. Completing the new map in the United States and delivering new features like Look Around and Collections are important steps toward achieving that vision. We look forward to bringing this new map to the rest of the world, starting with Europe later this year.
