Facebook today announced a new feature called “Manage Activity” via a press release.

Facebook has announced a new feature on its own blog page that is intended to make it easier for users to manage their own activities – it involves archiving older posts. The Notice:

Whether you're entering the workforce after college or leaving an old relationship behind, we know things change in people's lives, and we want to make it easy for you to curate your presence on Facebook to more accurately reflect who you are today. That's why we're launching Manage Activity to help you archive or destroy old posts — all in one place. The archive feature is for content that you no longer want others to see on Facebook, but that you still want to keep for yourself. For example, you might archive a post you made in high school that you still find amusing, but would rather not show to others on Facebook.

Of course, users can still delete old posts, but the new feature is designed to make the whole process easier, as it is designed to remove multiple posts at once. Deleted posts will also end up in a trash can that only empties automatically after 30 days. Users can of course speed up or reverse the process. The feature also includes a filter that allows posts - for example with certain people - to be displayed directly. However, the filter function also includes other values. By and large, this is a feature that already exists on Instagram - but Facebook's version has been given more options in the process. According to the company, "Manage Activity" will appear on the mobile version first. An introduction on the desktop and the Facebook Lite app will follow later. When the feature will be available in this country is still unknown. (Photo by oasisamuel / Bigstockphoto)

Apple devices here are not test units on loan for two weeks but everyday tools: from the iPhone through MacBook Pro, MacBook Air, and iMac to the Apple Vision Pro, at least one device from nearly every product category is in daily use, many of them replaced annually. Every menu path in a guide is verified on the device before it is published.
