Just yesterday we reported on new details about the beta phase of the new Apple Card. Now new photos of the physical credit card from Cupertino have surfaced - the weight of the card is now also known.
Recently, some Apple Store employees have also been Apple Card Beta Program included. Now an anonymous source has provided exclusive photos of the new Apple Card to the US blog iMore.com. The images show the credit card from both sides including its packaging - and the actual weight of the titanium card is now known. In one of the four images, the Apple Card is lying on a scale - as can be seen from the photo, the new credit card from Cupertino weighs around half an ounce (0.52 OZ) - this corresponds to around 14.75 grams. The other images show the packaging in which the Apple Card is delivered. This was only decorated with an Apple logo on the outside - minimalist. The inside, however, is colorful. This is where the rainbow advertised by Apple comes into its own. A particularly interesting feature that the digital version of the Apple Card will have.
Low creditworthiness is supposedly enough
The digital credit card changes color depending on the user's spending behavior. Each category has its own color pattern. The front of the credit card is simple and has an embossed Apple logo and chip. Further down, the cardholder's name is also written in black - in this case, the name has been obscured to maintain anonymity. On the back of the card are the logos of Goldman Sachs, the card issuer, and Mastercard. A gray stripe is also clearly visible.
The source reports that customers with low credit scores can also get an Apple Card, as Apple and Goldman Sachs have set the requirements lower than other credit card issuers. However, the limits are correspondingly lower. It seems as if Apple and Goldman Sachs want to offer the new credit card to a wide range of consumers, which could potentially be very helpful for some - but whether this is really so beneficial is another matter.
