Anyone who buys a new iPhone, iPad, etc. has the option of purchasing AppleCare+. The company has now expanded the insurance policy to include a monthly subscription.

AppleCare+ can be booked up to 60 days after purchasing a device and is valid for two years. Previously, Apple's insurance cover covered two cases of accidental damage during this period. But that is now changing. Accordingly, in the future, up to four such cases will be covered - two per year. But it goes further. AppleCare+ was previously only available through a one-off payment. The amount depended on the device itself and could be higher in some cases. For this reason, some customers preferred to forego it. But that is now changing. Accordingly, customers can now also pay for AppleCare+ monthly. The monthly policy can also be canceled monthly. The catch, however, is the deductible. This ranges from 29 to 99 euros. This is what the official website says. follows:

AppleCare+ monthly policy: valid since September 15th

For term policies, coverage for all devices ends after 24 months from the date you purchased AppleCare+, except for Apple Watch Hermès and Edition, for which coverage ends after 36 months from the date you purchased AppleCare+. For monthly policies, your coverage lasts for one month and automatically renews each month starting from the date you purchased your original policy. Your AppleCare+ purchase date is shown on your original policy receipt, and your Certificate of Insurance will show the type of policy you have and the duration of your coverage.

Furthermore, coverage for loss and theft remains excluded. According to Apple, the new AppleCare+ policy and monthly policy officially came into effect on September 15th. Further details can be found on the relevant website below. (Photo by PixieMe / Bigstockphoto)

Apple devices here are not test units on loan for two weeks but everyday tools: from the iPhone through MacBook Pro, MacBook Air, and iMac to the Apple Vision Pro, at least one device from nearly every product category is in daily use, many of them replaced annually. Every menu path in a guide is verified on the device before it is published.
