Apple is preparing to release iOS 26.0.1. The update is intended to fix a number of bugs that appeared after the launch of iOS 26.0. Hints of the new version are already surfacing, and there are clear signs that the release is imminent.

After every major iOS release, it quickly becomes apparent which problems arise in practice. iOS 26.0 was no exception. This makes the upcoming update to iOS 26.0.1 all the more important, as it not only brings minor tweaks but also fixes several critical bugs. According to a well-known account on X that has reliably shared information about iOS versions in the past, Apple originally planned to release the build number 23A350. However, everything now indicates that iOS 26.0.1 will be released with the build number 23A355. This move suggests that Apple has implemented more bug fixes than originally planned.

What problems iOS 26.0.1 is supposed to fix

The update focuses clearly on stability. Several bugs that affect the daily lives of many iPhone users are set to disappear with iOS 26.0.1. These include:

  • Camera bug on iPhone Air and iPhone 17 Pro: A camera bug caused usability issues on the iPhone Air and iPhone 17 Pro. This update fixes this vulnerability.
  • Wi-Fi and CarPlay issues: A particularly disruptive bug caused Wi-Fi connections to drop temporarily on the iPhone Air, iPhone 17, iPhone 17 Pro, and iPhone 17 Pro Max. This bug also directly impacted CarPlay, as the wireless connection in the vehicle would be interrupted and then reestablished.
  • Calendar search isn't working reliably: Some users are experiencing issues with the search function in the Calendar app. iOS 26.0.1 is intended to ensure that the search function works smoothly again.
  • Apple Intelligence cannot be downloaded: On several models—including the iPhone Air, iPhone 17, iPhone 17 Pro, and iPhone 17 Pro Max—the Apple Intelligence model cannot be downloaded as intended. This issue is also expected to be resolved with iOS 26.0.1.

When iOS 26.0.1 will be released

Everything indicates that Apple will release iOS 26.0.1 in the next few days, so the rollout should take place very soon after internal testing is complete.

A look at iOS 26.1

While iOS 26.0.1 clearly focuses on bug fixes, the next version, iOS 26.1, is already in the starting blocks. Currently in beta, it brings not only the same bug fixes but also new features. These include enhancements to Apple Intelligence, Live Translation on compatible AirPods in additional languages, and minor adjustments to Apple Music, Calendar, Photos, and Safari.

iOS 26.0.1 fixes bugs – iOS 26.1 brings new features

iOS 26.0.1 is a classic bug-fix update that eliminates important system errors and improves stability. The focus was particularly on issues with the camera, Wi-Fi, CarPlay, Calendar, and Apple Intelligence. The release is expected in the coming days. In parallel, Apple is already working hard on iOS 26.1, which, in addition to the same bug fixes, delivers additional new features.
