Apple announced new versions of its operating systems during the WWDC 2022 keynote, including iOS 16, macOS 13, tvOS 16, and watchOS 9. The company is making its beta software available to developers and public beta users ahead of the official release in the fall, except for the HomePod software. This year, HomePod software 16 - also known as audioOS 16 - will be available to public beta users for the first time.

In the past, Apple has used AppleSeed to distribute beta software that was far from ready to get into the hands of regular users.
