Apple released iOS 15.2, iPadOS 15.2, tvOS 15.2, watchOS 8.3 and macOS Monterey 12.1 to all users this evening. AudioOS 15.2 was also released for the HomePod.

The new HomePod update, audioOS 15.2, mostly fixes bugs and improves stability for AirPlay. But the update also contains an important innovation that should please HomePod users in this country - Siri voice recognition or multi-user voice recognition. The feature was previously only available in English. This means that requests that, for example, use personal data such as the address book or music tastes, were previously only possible via the "owner's" iPhone.

But now it can also be used in German here. This means that Siri on the HomePod / HomePod mini can recognize multiple voices, so that everyone in your home can Speaker can use it to listen to music tailored to their taste profile, access their own playlists, send and read messages, make phone calls and much more. In addition to German, other languages such as French and Italian are also taken into account in voice recognition. When setting up for the first time, the voices of the various users must be taught; in total, HomePods should be able to distinguish between up to six users per household. You can find out how it all works in our step-by-step instructions below. (Photo by franky242 / Bigstockphoto)
