IKEA promised HomeKit integration for its “Fyrtur” and “Kadrilj” blinds some time ago – now the update has been delayed again.
HomeKit integration for the "Fyrtur" and "Kadrilj" blinds has been promised several times. There were also several launch dates, all of which have been postponed so far. Most recently, the long-awaited update was promised for early 2020 – but that doesn't seem to be quite happening either. While the update has already been released in the US, Europeans will have to continue to be patient. The reason for the renewed delay is technical issues. IKEA UK support announced the following via Twitter:
Hi, due to some technical issues with the last update released in the US, we have had to delay the release of this update within the EU until these issues are resolved. We don't have a date for this at the moment, but our team is working on it. Thanks, Jamie
