Users who activated the Apple TV+ trial subscription on November 1st last year would have to make their first payment for the service at the end of this month. But Apple is now extending the free trial period.

Buying a new iPhone, iPad, Mac or Apple TV allows users to use Apple TV+ for free for a year. Some fans redeemed this trial subscription on November 1, 2019. The trial period was supposed to end at the end of October. But the Cupertino-based company plans to extend the free period until February 2021, as was recently announced. Apple has now started informing qualified users by email - iMore reports. is called it in the letter:

Apple TV+: More content to follow

Hello Joe Wituschek,

we're giving you extra time to discover the latest Apple Originals and learn about shows returning for a second season. You don't have to do anything - just watch for free until February 2021.

It's been an incredible debut year. Audiences love Emmy Award-winning The Morning Show, blockbuster WWII thriller Greyhound, heartwarming comedy Ted Lasso and more. Look for new premieres, hit films like On the Rocks, eye-opening docuseries Tiny World and Season 2 of Servant, For All Mankind and Peabody-winner Dickinson.

You will soon find the new renewal date under Manage Subscriptions.

The Apple TV+ team

Users who activated the free trial for Apple TV+ between November 1st and December 31st, 2019 will benefit from Apple's extension. If someone has already decided on the monthly or annual subscription during the period, Apple will issue the corresponding refunds. The credit can then be spent in both the iTunes Store and App Store. The credits will also be issued if users subscribe to the brand new Apple One subscription bundle. The new promotion should help Apple to further promote the service. But customers will also benefit from the whole thing, as more content will be released very soon, including the second season of Dickinson, which will be released on January 8th. (Image: Apple)

Apple devices here are not test units on loan for two weeks but everyday tools: from the iPhone through MacBook Pro, MacBook Air, and iMac to the Apple Vision Pro, at least one device from nearly every product category is in daily use, many of them replaced annually. Every menu path in a guide is verified on the device before it is published.
