Apple released its figures yesterday evening. third quarter During the conference call, Tim Cook confirmed the launch of the Apple Card in August.

The Apple Card is currently being tested by several thousand Apple employees - the beta phase is now coming to an end. This was confirmed by Apple CEO Tim Cook. According to this, the new credit card from Cupertino will be launched in August. However, Apple's boss did not give an exact launch date. According to an earlier Bloomberg report, the card could launch in mid-August. The Apple Card was developed in collaboration with Goldman Sachs and is deeply integrated into Apple Pay and the entire iOS operating system. The card is managed via the Wallet application. In addition to the digital version, users will also receive a physical version of the Apple Card - however, this is not made of plastic but of titanium. The Apple Card can be used either in the classic way or via Apple Pay and can cover all payments within the card limit. Using the new payment method should be completely free for users - a bonus program is also offered.

Clear and flexible

The best thing about the Apple Card is its clarity. Everything related to Apple's credit card is handled via the Wallet app. This also uses other Apple apps. If the user wants to know where transaction XY was made, the Apple Card will use Apple Maps to determine the exact location - including the address and name of the respective shop. The available balance is displayed using a ring system - known from the Apple Watch Activity app. In addition, the ring system in question offers other functions. Users who want to pay their bill in installments can do so using a ring provided for this purpose - the interest is of course also displayed. Billing can be customized. For example, automatic debits on a weekly, bi-weekly or monthly basis are available. The Apple Card also has intelligent payment suggestions that can adapt to the user. Apple's new payment method will initially only be available in the USA when it is launched. It remains to be seen when the Apple Card will be introduced in other countries.
