But while the competition is making great progress, Apple TV and Apple Watch still do not support Apple Intelligence. Instead, Apple continues to concentrate on iPhones, iPads and Macs. When will Apple Intelligence come to Apple TV and Apple Watch?
The current status
Apple Intelligence is currently only available on devices equipped with modern chips such as the A17 Pro or the M1 and higher. These chips are powerful enough to perform the AI calculations directly on the device - an approach that reflects Apple's focus on data protection. This technology is limited to iPhones, iPads and Macs. Devices such as the Apple TV, Apple Watch, HomePod or Vision Pro do not yet support Apple Intelligence. The gradual introduction

The third generation Apple TV, which was released in 2022, has the A15 chip, but this is not sufficient for Apple Intelligence's complex AI applications. The same applies to the Apple Watch: the current processors in the smartwatches simply do not have enough power to support the advanced functions. Rumors suggest that Apple could introduce a new Apple TV with more modern hardware in 2025. However, it remains unclear whether this device will be equipped with a chip that supports Apple Intelligence. What does the competition do differently?
While Apple is cautious about integrating AI into devices such as smart TVs and smartwatches, Google is betting on a faster implementation. Gemini, Google's AI solution, will offer a host of new features on Google TV, including personalized search results, AI-generated screensavers, and summaries of media content. On Wear OS, Gemini enables more natural interactions with smartwatches, which is especially useful when there is no smartphone nearby. These advances show that it is technically possible to use AI even on devices with limited hardware.
