While only a preview was available yesterday, the full article is now available. In recent years, there has been a lot of discussion about Apple's plans regarding display technologies. It is believed that Apple is exploring MiniLED, MicroLED and OLED technologies in its products. Currently, it is expected that the successor to the MacBook Pro 16″, which is due to be released this year, will use a MiniLED screen. Now DigiTimes wants experience that Apple plans to equip iPad and MacBook models with OLED panels in the future. So far, these screens are only used in Apple Watch and iPhone devices. The report says that Apple will use an OLED panel for an upcoming iPad model with a 10.9-inch display. The new iPad is expected to go into production at the end of this year and be released in early 2022.
