The Apple Watch Series 10 is just around the corner and promises to take wrist-based technology to the next level. With bigger screens, sleeker designs, and faster performance, Apple is looking to set the standard again. But while these hardware updates have fans excited, there are some delays when it comes to health features. Let's take a closer look at the latest developments and rumors surrounding the Apple Watch Series 10.

Are you looking for the latest and greatest smartwatch on the market? Then the Apple Watch Series 10 is just the thing for you. Apple has big plans for this series, but as with any technical innovation, there are also challenges. Below you will find out everything you need to know about the upcoming features, the design and the potential delays in the health functions that Bloomberg wants to find out.

Larger screens and slimmer design

The Apple Watch Series 10 will come in two models, known by the codenames N217 and N218. Both models will feature larger screens. The larger model in particular will have a screen that is nearly as large as the Apple Watch Ultra, at around 2 inches. This is a significant improvement over the 1.93-inch display on the current Ultra version. In addition to the larger screens, the Apple Watch Series 10 will also feature a slimmer design. Although the basic design of the watch is unlikely to change much, the thinner profile will surely appeal to many users looking for a more elegant and comfortable smartwatch.

Improved performance and AI potential

Both the Apple Watch Series 10 and the Apple Watch Ultra 3 will feature a more powerful processor. This will not only improve the overall performance of the watches but also lay the foundation for future AI improvements. Despite this improved hardware, there are currently no concrete plans to integrate extensive Apple intelligence features into the Apple Watch, according to Bloomberg.

Delays in new health features

One of the most exciting rumors surrounding the Apple Watch Series 10 has been the new health features, specifically blood pressure monitoring and sleep apnea detection. Unfortunately, there are some hurdles here. The blood pressure measurement technology has proven less reliable than hoped in tests, which could lead to potential delays in release. When this feature eventually arrives, it will not show accurate systolic and diastolic readings, but rather just trends in blood pressure over time. Sleep apnea detection, which is linked to blood oxygen saturation data, also faces challenges. Due to an ITC import ban, current Apple Watch models in the US do not offer blood oxygen monitoring. It remains to be seen whether Apple can resolve this issue by the September launch or if the feature may be delayed.

Is this the Apple Watch X?

Another exciting point is whether the new Apple Watch Series 10 will be the anniversary model "Apple Watch X". It was originally reported that Apple was planning a major redesign for the 10th anniversary of the Apple Watch. However, it is still unclear whether this redesign will take place this year or in 2025. Apple could either celebrate the anniversary this year or plan a more spectacular release for next year.

Publication and availability

The Apple Watch Series 10 and Apple Watch Ultra 3 are expected to launch alongside the iPhone 16 in September, so fans can look forward to an exciting fall of unveilings of Apple's latest technologies.

Apple Watch Series 10: More than just an upgrade

The Apple Watch Series 10 promises to be one of the most impressive smartwatches on the market. With larger screens, slimmer design, and improved performance, Apple is setting new standards. While there might be some delays with the new health features, the Apple Watch Series 10 remains an exciting upgrade.
