Apple is preparing for an exciting and busy week. According to a report by Mark Gurman, the company will make several important announcements in the coming days. A particular highlight will be the launch of new Macs equipped with the new M4 processors.

Mark Gurman, a well-known journalist, has in his recent report pointed out that Apple will be introducing new Macs next week. Although Gurman himself does not know all the details of the event, there are strong indications that the new devices will be presented soon.

event for press representatives in Los Angeles

Apple has planned a media event in Los Angeles for next Wednesday, October 30, reports Mark Gurman. Although the exact content of the meeting has not been officially confirmed, the timing strongly suggests that Apple will unveil new Macs at the event. Gurman speculates that the new models could go on sale immediately after the presentation or by November 1 at the latest. The Los Angeles event would not be the first time that Apple has chosen a city other than Cupertino for a Mac presentation.

A busy week for Apple

The coming week will be one of the busiest of the year for Apple. On Monday, October 28, important system updates are to be released, including the introduction of "Apple Intelligence". This new feature could play a crucial role in the Apple ecosystem and be of great interest to many users. The presentation of the new Macs follows on Wednesday, and on Thursday, October 31, Apple will announce its quarterly figures for the third quarter of 2024. This multitude of events within a week shows that Apple is preparing many important innovations in its product portfolio and services during this phase.

Format of the presentation: press release or video?

It remains exciting to see how Apple will present the new Macs. According to Gurman, Apple may not be planning a big event but is more likely to rely on a press release or a short online event. Similar to the "Scary fast" presentation on Halloween 2023, Apple may prefer a quick and focused presentation of the new devices. However, if there is no official announcement by early next week, this could indicate that Apple has opted for a less elaborate presentation - i.e. press releases.

New Macs with M4 processors

The most exciting part of the upcoming announcement is the introduction of the M4 processors, which are to be used in several Mac models. It is considered certain that the iMac will switch from the current M3 processor to the M4. The MacBook Pro is also to be comprehensively converted to the new M4 chips, with various models being equipped with M4, M4 Pro or M4 Max. These new chips promise a significant increase in performance compared to previous models. The possible revision of the Mac mini is particularly interesting. Rumors suggest that Apple is planning a completely new design for the Mac mini - the first major redesign in 14 years. This new model is to be visually reminiscent of a silver Apple TV, but equipped with the powerful hardware of a Mac. This change could make the Mac mini more attractive again for many users, especially for those looking for a compact but powerful device. (Image: Apple)
