Apple will introduce the iPhone 12 series and the HomePod Mini on October 13th. However, a new Mac with a silicon processor is not expected until November.

Today was a very rumor-filled day, and if you believe the individual leakers, we already know what to expect on Tuesday. Now Bloomberg journalist and Apple leaker Mark Gurman has also spoken out reported and provided more clarity. According to its information, the Cupertino-based company will present the first Apple Silicon Mac in November. A third virtual event is planned for this. We have already documented rumors that Apple has scheduled three digital events for this fall. For this reason, Gurman's statement should be seen as more of an additional confirmation. Gurman did not reveal which device it is specifically - it is said to be a notebook. So it could be a MacBook Air, MacBook Pro or even a brand new MacBook 12" device.

Apple Silicon: Future Macs can run iOS and iPadOS apps

There are sources that have promised a MacBook 12″ – but there are also leakers who have contradicted this. The fact is – Apple itself has already confirmed the launch of the first silicon Mac this year at WWDC 2020. The company wants to switch all Mac devices to its own processor over the next two years. Apple Silicon processors are based on the ARM architecture, which means that future Macs will be able to run thousands of iPhone and iPad applications without recompilation. These apps will be distributed through the Mac App Store unless a developer opts out. What else Apple might introduce in November besides the Silicon Mac remains to be seen. (Image: Apple)

Apple devices here are not test units on loan for two weeks but everyday tools: from the iPhone through MacBook Pro, MacBook Air, and iMac to the Apple Vision Pro, at least one device from nearly every product category is in daily use, many of them replaced annually. Every menu path in a guide is verified on the device before it is published.
