According to various rumors, Apple is planning a number of new products this year. But there will also be brand new hardware, including the AirTags and the first AR glasses.

The well-known Apple analyst Ming-Chi Kuo has been known for his accurate predictions for years. Now he has published a comprehensive report to investors that contains further details. Kuo explained that Apple will release its first in-house augmented reality device in 2021. AirTags and more are also planned. AirTags have been reported on since summer 2019. Despite various leaks, Apple the brand new accessory has not been released. But it should be released in 2021. Kuo then commented on Apple's first augmented reality device. Specific details are not known. But Kuo has already emphasized in the past that Apple's first AR glasses will be very dependent on the iPhone.

Mac and iPad: MiniLEDs are coming

The whole thing could be compared to the first Apple Watch. The AR glasses are essentially intended to function as a display, with the actual computing power, rendering, internet connection and location services being provided by the iPhone. Furthermore, Kuo is sticking to his forecast that Apple wants to switch the iPad Pro and Mac series to mini-LED technology. According to this, two MacBook Pro models in sizes 14 and 16 inches are to be expected, which will use mini-LED displays and receive the M1 chip. He also explained that new AirPods will also be released in 2021. Accordingly, we can expect a lot from Apple this year. However, the analyst left specific time frames open in his forecast.
