Apple officially unveiled iOS 15 at this year's WWDC keynote and rolled out the first beta of the software to developers shortly after. The company announced that the beta will be released to public testers in July, but did not give a specific date. However, the whole thing can be narrowed down pretty well.
iOS 15 comes with a ton of great features. There are a number of new features for FaceTime, including SharePlay, video calling, and web support for Android and Windows. There's the new Live Text feature in the Camera and Photos app, the new Focus mode, redesigned notifications, revamped Safari, and much more. When will Apple release the public beta of iOS 15?
Apple released the first public beta of iOS 14 on July 9th. However, WWDC 2020 was postponed to the end of June (22nd-26th) instead of starting in early June as usual. After WWDC 2019, Apple released the first public beta of iOS 13 on June 24th, and the year before, the public beta of iOS 12 was released on June 25th. With WWDC 2021 starting in the usual time frame, it seems likely that Apple could release the first iOS 15 public beta by the beginning of July at the latest. This should then be released with the third developer beta. Whether Apple will follow the familiar pattern remains to be seen, of course. Cupertino will also offer public betas for iPadOS 15, tvOS 15, watchOS 8, and macOS Monterey. Last year, however, the public betas of watchOS and macOS were released at different times.
