watchOS 6 Beta reveals new Apple Watch Series 5 models

Apple's latest iOS 13 and watchOS 6 beta seem to be far more revealing than their previous versions this time around. While the iOS 13 beta revealed the launch date of the iPhone 11, the seventh beta of watchOS 6 contains details about upcoming Apple Watch models.

Apple's leak series started with iOS 13 and is now continuing with watchOS 6. On Thursday, the platform iHelp BR References to the launch date of the iPhone 11. Now the same guys have discovered clues about new Apple Watch models. They were able to find two images in the code of the current watchOS 6 beta that present two models made of ceramic and titanium. The graphic shows the back of the previously unreleased Apple Watch models - this is usually displayed when the watch is started for the first time. Apple has already offered a ceramic Apple Watch in the past - this was introduced as the Series 2 and expanded with the Series 3. When the fourth generation was released, both ceramic models were removed from the range. Now this version of the watch seems to be returning in the fall - followed by a model in a completely new case material - namely titanium. The two graphics show 44mm models - but according to iHelp BR, 40mm versions are also stored in the code.

What happens to the stainless steel version?

The discovery confirms that Apple will keep the size unchanged. The discovery also fits with a statement made by Ming-Chi Kuo at the beginning of this year. According to his information, Apple is again planning a ceramic version of the watch for the next generation.

It remains unclear whether Apple will continue to offer the familiar stainless steel case with the next generation of Apple Watch, in addition to titanium and ceramic. Some believe that this could be replaced by the titanium version. However, there is no threat of the aluminum version of the watch being discontinued - it would be too popular for that.
