The golf comedy returns on November 4th with two episodes. A new episode will then be released weekly until December 30th. Apple is thus placing the second season perfectly within the timeframe in which the service is already expanding its comedy lineup.
The first season, about a washed-up ex-pro and a 17-year-old golfing talent, aired last year and has been renewed for a second season. Rhea Seehorn's addition to the cast was announced back in March. Now, Apple has released the first images and confirmed the November 4th release date.
Key Facts at a Glance
- The premiere will take place on Wednesday, November 4, 2026, with two episodes in a row.
- After that, a new episode will be released weekly, the last one on December 30th.
- The season therefore comprises a total of ten episodes.
- Rhea Seehorn is the new coach, and there are five additional new players.
- Owen Wilson, Peter Dager, Marc Maron, Judy Greer and Timothy Olyphant are back.
Double episode to kick things off, then weekly
The schedule follows a pattern that Apple frequently uses for comedy series: two episodes to kick things off, followed by a weekly release schedule.
| Episode | Date |
|---|---|
| 1 and 2 | Wednesday, November 4, 2026 |
| 3 | Wednesday, November 11, 2026 |
| 4 | Wednesday, November 18, 2026 |
| 5 | Wednesday, November 25, 2026 |
| 6 | Wednesday, December 2, 2026 |
| 7 | Wednesday, December 9, 2026 |
| 8 | Wednesday, December 16, 2026 |
| 9 | Wednesday, December 23, 2026 |
| 10 | Wednesday, December 30, 2026 |
The season ends on the last Wednesday of the year. As with other Apple series, the premiere will be simultaneous worldwide; there is no separate release date for German-speaking countries.
From December onwards, two comedies will run simultaneously
A glance at the calendar reveals an overlap that is unlikely to be a coincidence. Starting December 2nd, the second season of Bad Monkey will air concurrently, a release date also recently confirmed by Apple. Both series premiere on Wednesdays, both are comedies, and both run over the holidays.
In December, the service will receive two new episodes of different series every Wednesday. For subscribers, this is a packed schedule in the very month when streaming subscriptions are traditionally most popular. For Apple, it's an attempt to establish Wednesdays as a fixed release day, instead of spreading new episodes throughout the week.
The former professional is attempting his own comeback
The focus shifts. In the first season, Pryce Cahill, played by Owen Wilson, focused entirely on the career of his protégé Santi. In the second season, Santi makes the leap to the professional ranks and experiences how quickly talent becomes an expectation – while Cahill wonders what else is possible for him.

Spurred on by his former rival Clark Ross, he puts his faith in himself and launches a comeback attempt with the goal of becoming the oldest winner of a major. The closer he gets to the player he once was, the more he has to grapple with why he never fulfilled that promise. At his side are his new coach Amanda, played by Rhea Seehorn, and his caddie Mitts.
New additions to the cast include John Higgins, Billy Zane, Rex Linn, Sasha Alexander, and Missi Pyle. Golf commentators will again make guest appearances. Series creator Jason Keller remains at the helm, and production continues at Apple Studios.
Golf becomes Apple's own field
What's remarkable is how the series fits into a larger trend. Golf was long a niche topic for the company, but now it appears in several places: in the sports app, in this series – and possibly soon in the rights business. Most recently, it was reported that Apple is negotiating the US broadcast rights to the oldest golf major.
A fictional series and a rights package complement each other better than it might initially seem: The series creates familiarity with a sport that is poorly understood outside its core target audience. Our expectation: Should Apple acquire the rights package, the series will play a role in marketing – and vice versa.
For you in German-speaking countries, this will remain a US issue for now, because the rights are being negotiated there. However, you can still enjoy the series: it premieres here on the same day as everywhere else.
