Here is a short summary of further news from yesterday and today

Siri Shortcuts

Apple announced the new Siri Shortcuts app at WWDC 2018 as part of iOS 12, which has now been made available as a standalone app for registered developers. The app is being tested in TestFlight. The app's functions are of course not yet final, and synchronization via iCloud is not currently possible.

Ten new devices

If manufacturers want to bring new devices onto the market, they must first be approved by the Eurasian Economic Commission (EEC) be registered.

Now the French blog Consomac Ten new Apple products were discovered in the EEC database. Apple registered five Macs and five new iPads, thus indirectly confirming them. However, entries in the EEC database do not mean that these products will be launched on the market immediately.
One thing is clear: an iPad Pro with Face ID is expected – data found in iOS 12 also suggests this. (Will the iPad with Face ID be available in the fall?)

10 years of the App Store

On July 10, 2008, the App Store went online with a total of 500 apps. Would it be a success? At the time, nobody knew. To mark the occasion, Apple has now produced a review. "The App Store is 10 years old" - important milestones such as the introduction of in-app purchases are highlighted here. (Apple's review)

Apple devices here are not test units on loan for two weeks but everyday tools: from the iPhone through MacBook Pro, MacBook Air, and iMac to the Apple Vision Pro, at least one device from nearly every product category is in daily use, many of them replaced annually. Every menu path in a guide is verified on the device before it is published.
