Apple has released a new notice for developers regarding apps. It includes new requirements for Sign in with Apple and more.
In a new announcement, Apple addresses the topic of iOS 13 and the secure login service “Sign in with Apple”. The Notice:
iOS 13 now runs on 77% of all iOS devices launched worldwide in the last four years, and delivers great user experiences through seamless integration with Dark Mode, Sign In with Apple, and the latest advancements in ARKit 3, Core ML 3, and Siri. Starting April 30, 2020, all iPhone apps submitted to the App Store must be built with the iOS 13 SDK or later.
Accordingly, Apple will now require the iOS 13 SDK for submitted applications. However, this requirement includes not only the Dark Mode and Co. but also the new login service "Sign in with Apple"Developers who offer login services from third parties such as Facebook, Google, etc. in their applications must also integrate "Sign in with Apple".
Things will get serious from April 30th
Applications provided for internal company purposes are exempt from this rule. The communication goes on to say:
Take advantage of Xcode features like Storyboards (including launch storyboards), Auto Layout, and SwiftUI to ensure that your app's interface elements and layouts automatically fit the display of all iPhone models, regardless of size or aspect ratio. Starting April 30, 2020, all apps submitted to the App Store must use an Xcode storyboard to provide the app's launch screen, and all iPhone apps must support all iPhone screens.
