O2 fixes eSim problem

After a particularly serious bug in iOS 12.1.3 paralyzed Facetime for groups, Apple released iOS 12.1.4 on February 7. This update caused massive problems when using the O2 eSim on iPhone and Apple Watch - now that's over.

The first reports appeared at the weekend - users could no longer use their eSim. A network operator update was to blame. An O2 employee gave a statement about the problem yesterday. According to the report, Apple updated the network operator settings at O2 at the same time as iOS 12.1.4. The current version at the time was o2-de 35.2. Users who downloaded this version before the most recent iOS update were therefore not affected.

New network operator settings are available

All O2 customers who downloaded iOS 12.1.4 before the new network operator update had to make do with a limited mobile connection. Now the mobile provider O2 has released a new update to the network operator settings. The iPhones should usually update automatically to version o2-de 35.3. If this is not the case, those affected can download the update to the device using iTunes. The wireless alternative would be the O2 app - this can be used to request a new eSim profile.

Every menu path in a guide is verified on the device before it is published.
