Apple introduced two new chargers at the iPhone 12 keynote, including the MagSafe and MagSafe Duo. The former is already available, but the latter is not yet available. But that could soon change.

So far, Apple has not given an official date for when the MagSafe Duo charger will be available. The product was only recently listed in the online shop. The price of 145.20 euros has caused a lot of excitement. The majority of fans think the charger is overpriced. One of the reasons for this is the fact that no power adapter is included with the accessory. At the same time, however, Apple recommends using the brand new 20W charger. However, this is available separately for around 25 euros. The idea of charging the iPhone 12 and the Apple Watch at the same time and only needing one cable is definitely great. But the price could certainly have been lower. Be that as it may, die-hard fans will snap it up either way. When it comes to approval, this will no longer be a reason for delay. The product has official approval from the FCC (Federal Communications Commission) in the United States. receive.

MagSafe Duo Charger: Approvals indicate imminent market launch

Apple's website still lists the 2-in-1 charger - for Apple Watch and iPhone - as "coming soon". However, the FCC approval is a solid indication that approval could be coming soon. To be precise, the approval refers to a "Two Coil Charger" with Apple's model number A2458. The documents filed by Apple detail how the charger can be used to power an iPhone and an Apple Watch simultaneously. The documents were filed in October and the approval appears to have been granted today. In addition to the US, the product has also been approved in South Korea approved. It seems that Apple is currently obtaining approval from the various countries. For this reason, the MagSafe Duo charger should be available very soon.
