Most people should already know that a beta version can be revealing. The supposed launch date of the iPhone 11 was only recently announced - now further details about Apple's upcoming streaming service Apple TV+ have been discovered.

Was it first the iOS 13 Beta, it is now the current macOS Catalina beta that tells us details about upcoming products. The US platform MacRumors has discovered details about the use of Apple TV+ in the latest macOS Catalina beta. According to this, the code contains clues that indicate that Apple TV+ subscribers can also use the service offline - to a limited extent. This will allow users to download content in advance and watch it afterwards. However, the total number of downloads will be limited - similar to other streaming services. According to the report, messages such as "You have reached your download limit", "Download limit reached for [NAME OF TITLE] Season 1 Episode 1" and "To download this episode of [NAME OF TITLE], delete it from another device and try again" were found.

Multi-user option still open

Apple's approach is reminiscent of Netflix. In addition to the restrictions on offline use, the current macOS Catalina beta points to further streaming regulations. The warning "To stream this movie, stop watching [NAME OF TITLE] on another device" was also found. A restriction on streaming on multiple devices at the same time is usually associated with individual subscription plans. Whether Apple wants to offer a multi-user option, similar to Apple Music, is currently unknown. A Bloomberg report recently surfaced that contains details on price, content and launch - more on that here. Apple AirPods with wireless charging case on special offer on Amazon (Photo by tanaonte / Bigstockphoto)

Apple devices here are not test units on loan for two weeks but everyday tools: from the iPhone through MacBook Pro, MacBook Air, and iMac to the Apple Vision Pro, at least one device from nearly every product category is in daily use, many of them replaced annually. Every menu path in a guide is verified on the device before it is published.
