It's not a bug – its a feature! In this case, however, it is a somewhat annoying feature. macOS Catalina seems to have a problem with the email app.

The latest operating system macOS 10.15 Catalina was released to all Mac users on October 7th. But now there are increasing reports that users of the latest Mac software are having problems with Apple's own email application. According to reports, emails are displayed incompletely or disappear completely. This can also happen if, for example, users try to move an email to another mailbox - this can also lead to data loss. But that's not all - in some cases, moving messages between mailboxes can lead to an empty message. If the email was moved to a server mailbox, other devices that access this mailbox may see the message as deleted.

macOS 10.15.1 Catalina Beta also affected?

The bug can even cause some emails to not be displayed or arrive at all – this means that the loss of this data is not even noticed. The developer Michael Tsai writes in his blogthat a large number of macOS Catalina users are affected, which is why he is warning against the major Mac update.

Users who rely on the Mail app should therefore wait with the update. Whether the current macOS 10.15.1 Catalina Beta It is currently unclear whether the problem also includes this. However, it can be assumed that Apple will provide a patch for the problem soon. Short News: Apple withdraws new iOS 13.2 beta (Photo by PixieMe / Bigstockphoto)
