Apple has only recently increased the data limit for downloads on mobile last week from 150 MB to 200 MB. The first beta of iOS 13 shows that Apple has now taken into account the wishes of many fans.
In iOS 13, Apple warns users when they try to start a large download on the cellular network - but they are allowed to exceed it. The limit is therefore completely removed in iOS 13 and replaced by a warning message.
In a test, the crucial innovation could already be identified by several platforms. iOS 13 The system now displays a message indicating that the app size is slightly larger and indicates the exact file size. The user can then decide whether to continue the download or wait for a Wi-Fi connection. The whole process can even be customized. There's a new setting in the iTunes & App Store called "App Downloads." The default option is "Ask if over 200 MB," and the warning is displayed accordingly.
An exception applies abroad
In "Ask First" mode, the user is always asked to confirm downloading a mobile app. At the other end of the spectrum, selecting "Always Allow" removes all barriers and means the system can complete downloads on the mobile network without interruption—this is especially ideal for users with unlimited data. However, there is one exception: separate approval is only required when the iPhone or the user is abroad. (Image: Apple)
