If manufacturers want to bring new devices onto the market, they must first register them with the Eurasian Economic Commission (EEC). Apple has now registered ten devices, including nine iPhone models.

A few days ago, DigiTimes reported reportedthat Apple has reached the EVT (technical validation) stage of developing the iPhone 12 series. This basically means that the devices are almost ready and only "product verification" is pending before mass production can begin. According to DigiTimes, mass production of the iPhone 12 series will start in July. Today's discovery (via MySmartPrice) has now officially confirmed the report. According to the report, Apple has registered ten new devices in the EEC database. Nine iPhone models and one Mac device were documented. The Mac has the model ID "A2330" and was registered as a desktop computer. According to the documentation, the operating system running is macOS 10.15.

Four iPhone 12 models in different variants

The discovery confirms recently published leaks that Apple plans to unveil an iMac with a brand new design – presumably at WWDC 2020 on March 22. June - you can find out more below. Further on, there are nine devices that were registered in the "Smartphone" category. The model identifiers are: A2176, A2172, A2341, A2342, A2399, A2403, A2407, A2408 and A2411. iOS 13 was entered as the operating system.

However, this is not very important, as Apple updates the database several times throughout the year. It can therefore be assumed that these are the four iPhone 12 models in different variants. If the numerous reports turn out to be true, Apple will introduce a 5.4- and 6.1-inch iPhone as the direct successor to the iPhone 11, while another 6.1- and 6.7-inch device will enter the race as a Pro series. Apple devices here are not test units on loan for two weeks but everyday tools: from the iPhone through MacBook Pro, MacBook Air, and iMac to the Apple Vision Pro, at least one device from nearly every product category is in daily use, many of them replaced annually. Every menu path in a guide is verified on the device before it is published.
